Last July Marchesi Antinori hosted the annual PFV meeting in Porto.

On that occasion, Alessia ANTINORI handed over the presidency to Mireia TORRES.

Here is the message from the new president:

Dear friends,

I'm truly honoured to become President of Primum Familiae Vini for 2015/2016 on behalf of my family.

This association, which dates back to the 1990s, represents many of the values required by the world we currently live in. We firmly believe the family is the best option to defend our wineries against large corporations. Generation after generation, we pass on to our members our passion for quality, authenticity, tradition and respect for the environment. Our ultimate goal is for our terroir to find its expression in ail our products. Above all else we value the excellence of what is natural and authentic and that's the message we want to convey.

PFV represents an opportunity to share the experiences, know-how and values of different generations; the chance to join forces and go beyond what we can achieve on our own. Ultimately we all face similar difficulties in such a changing world; by sharing we can make faster progress and, above all, mark out the path to be taken by future generations.

We'll be spreading the message of Primum Familiae Vini in Berlin, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Düsseldorf throughout 2015 and 2016.

We hope it wili be a success - you can rest assured we'll do our very best to make sure it is!!

Mireia Torres
