WHAT´S NEW ?

PFV annual meeting and new president,

Primum Familiae Vini has just conducted its annual meeting and has the pleasure of announcing the nomination of a new President: Egon Muller for a year.

The Hugel family, who held the Presidency for the current year, were delighted to receive their PFV partners at Riquewihr, accompanied by numerous members of their families.

You can view here the photo gallery of that visit.

The three day program consisted of:
  • A meeting with the best customers of the new Boutique VINI wine shop with a tasting of one wine from each family member of the PFV, an association that the Hugel family, owner of this fine wine shop, is particularly proud to be a member of.
  • A visit to the commemorative vineyard planted in the heart of the grand cru Sporen vineyard exactly 12 years ago when the members of the PFV last visited Alsace.

This visit was also an opportunity to exchange useful information and to take decisions that further strengthen the many links that bind the families together.
  • PFV decided to make a joint visit to India and to Singapore towards the end of 2006.
  • The association also unanimously decided to organise a joint participation in Vinoelite in Valencia
  • The members agreed on an increased use of the PFV logo on a growing number of back labels of family member's wines
  • PFV agreed on the setting up of an Intranet PFV site in order to facilitate a better exchange of information.
  • The many members in attendance held discussions on the use of alternative bottle closures.
  • PFV exchanged views on the selection of a 12th member.

Further information will be released in the coming months.

PFV members aim to defend and promote the traditions and values of family owned wine companies, and ensure that such ideals survive and prosper for future generations. The family members of PFV share a common ambition: to achieve excellence.
