A FAMILY COMPANY WITH TWO LINES OF BUSINESS

The "Centre Baron Philippe" in Pauillac

A family-owned company with a Supervisory Board chaired by Baroness Philippine de Rothschild and a Management Board, Baron Philippe de Rothschild, S.A. has a staff of about 500 and consolidated annual turnover in excess of 160 million euros.
The company runs two distinct operations: Châteaux wines and Branded wines.

CHÂTEAUX WINES
In Bordeaux
  Château Mouton Rothschild and its second wine, Le Petit Mouton de Mouton Rothschild, Château d'Armailhac, Château Clerc Milon and Aile d'Argent, owned by Baroness Philippine de Rothschild and her children. Some 700,000 bottles of these great wines are produced on average each year.
The company is also worldwide distributor, though not the owner, of Château Coutet, a Premier Cru Classé Sauternes Barsac.

Châteaux wines

Outside Bordeaux  
- Opus One (Napa Valley, California), the first great Franco-Californian wine, produced since 1979 in an equal joint venture with Robert Mondavi Winery. Annual production: approx. 30,000 cases.
- Almaviva (Puente Alto, Chile), a great Franco-Chilean wine produced in partnership with Concha y Toro since 1996. Annual production: approx. 10,000 cases.
- Domaine de Lambert (Pays d'Oc, France), acquired in 1998 and wholly-owned by the family (currently being renovated).

BRANDED WINES

- Mouton Cadet red, Mouton Cadet white, Mouton Cadet rosé.
The world's leading Bordeaux AOC brand, now joined by Mouton Cadet Réserve red (Médoc) and Mouton Cadet Réserve white (Graves Sec).
- The Collection Baron Philippe (Baron Philippe Collection) : a selection of red and white wines from the great Bordeaux appellations.
- The Cuvées des Barons et Baronnes (Heritage range) : an exclusive and limited selection of oak-aged wines from the great Bordeaux appellations.
- Under the "La Baronnie" name, a range of red and white AOC wines for mail order sales only.

Branded wines
in Bordeaux

The wines in these four ranges are bought directly from different producers and marketed by the company, after having been blended, matured and bottled at its Centre Vinicole de Saint-Laurent-Médoc, an ultra-modern facility with its own laboratory. Total annual production amounts to some 22 million bottles.

In Pays d'Oc
- Baron'arques, a blended red wine produced in cooperation with Vignerons du Sieur d'Arques and vinified at the Capitelle de Baron'arques, near Limoux.
- Pays d'Oc varietals: red (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah); white (Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier); rosé (Cabernet Sauvignon rosé).
In Chile  
- Escudo Rojo, a fine branded chilean red wine made by Baron Philippe de Rothschild Maipo Chile.
- Chilean varietals: red (Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère); white (Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay).

The leading exporter of Bordeaux AOC wines, Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA has sales in 150 countries around the world and is firmly established in Europe, the United States and the Far East. Its Paris-based French distribution subsidiary, RFD, also represents a wide range of other wines and spirits.
