VALBUENA RESERVA RED Valbuena is the youngest of Vega Sicilia's red wines, a "fifth year" wine made from grapes from younger vines,
a wine therefore less concentrated in its structure. Valbuena has the same colouring as its older brother, the Vega Sicilia "Unico", a garnet-cherry red with an orangeish edge and brick-red reflections, the result of
an excellent evolution in cask and bottle, one of the specific traits of the red wines of Vega Sicilia. The personality of Valbuena is defined by the persistence of varietal traits, revealed for example in
the ripe red fruity bouquet. In the mouth, although Valbuena is slighter in structure than Vega Sicilia Unico it still possess all the vinous-fruity complexity of a fine reserva.
VEGA SICILIA "UNICO" GRAN RESERVA RED This is the "official" Vega Sicilia, a list of vintages from ten to twenty years of age of which appears in the bodega's catalogue. A characteristic common to all Vega
Sicilia vintages is their brightness. Although these wines are comparatively old, they retain a vitality the result of good levels of acidity, compensated by an
adequate degree of alcoholic strength. They have a fine ripe cherry-red colour and a bouquet in which the dominant note is that of the toasted aromas of the
oak, together with suggestion of hazelnut, the product of seven years ageing in the cask. These flavours of old clean oak are also noticeable on the palate, with
dry and agreeably bitter oaky tannins and a certain alcoholic sweetness. The aftertaste is prolonged. VEGA SICILIA "UNICO" RESERVA ESPECIAL RED
A red reserva which has no year. The synergy between the nobility of the oak and the breeding of the grape. A red wine in which the best of each vintage is
concentrated. Dark cherry-red, full of colour, with an elegant, delicate spicy bouquet, time and the bottle have lent this wine silky smoothness, a well-rounded finish and sufficient strength to leave an unsurpassable
impression on the palate. It has those touches of hazelnut typical of long cask ageing and the structure of a wine made with a prolonged maceration on the wine-skins: fine colour and good tannins.
